Raytheon Cyber Protection Solutions is seeking a Systems Administrator to provide integration, operation, and maintenance support for its security operations, consulting, and managed security services teams. Primary duties include:

  • Utilizing VMWare (ESXi, vCenter, Horizon View, VDI) to manage service delivery infrastructure, including growth planning and break fix
  • Utilizing Firewalls (i.e Checkpoint) to push policy/rule sets for end users and monitor logs for traffic
  • Troubleshooting Macbook operating system and client issues
  • Providing off-hours support for Operations users and pre-scheduled maintenance windows
  • Logging requests and results for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using service tracking software
  • Proactively monitoring infrastructure for potential issues or impacts to CPS Operations users


Required Experience:


  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in system administration of LAN/WAN systems, networksecurity, systems maintenance, systems monitoring/reporting, requirements analysis, requirements planning, resource scheduling, configuration management, and documentation management
  • Experience managing an enterprise Windows infrastructure
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, or an information technology-intensive discipline. Four (4) years of relevant experience will be considered equivalent to a Bachelors degree. Two (2) years of relevant experience with an Associates degree will be considered the equivalent of a Bachelors degree.
  • Capable of lifting 50 lbs


Desired Experience:


  • Experience with Windows Servers Active Directory (Users/GPO/DNS/DHCP/NTP/WSUS/etc.) / Deployment Software (PDQ/SCCM)
  • Microsoft software troubleshooting (Skype/Office/Outlook/etc.)
  • Working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco Switches
  • Strong grasp of networking/routing concepts and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Atlassian Confluence / JIRA
  • Demonstrated self-starter and demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast paced environment with short timelines and set deadlines
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous manner in difficult situations
  • Ability to maintain high quality work managing multiple critical projects
