Amazon Digital Payment Acceptance team is looking for a proven contributor with payment product management and strong external partner engagement experience to design and drive Amazon's digital payment offerings.

The Digital Payment Acceptance and Product Management team is responsible for defining and actively managing the Digital payments customer experience across all of Amazon’s digital businesses’ globally, including Kindle, eBooks, ePeriodicals, Instant Video, Digital Music, Appstore, Audible Audiobooks, Digital games & Software, and Cloud Drive. This includes everything from managing: a) the payment methods we accept, customer experience for paying, cost-of-payments; b) underlying digital commerce platform products and c) Business Operations for digital payments and proactively shaping the payment industry to elevate Amazon’s role. This team ensures that Amazon can delight its customers through delivering a consistent, low friction purchase and payment experiences across all surfaces (whether “owned” or not by Amazon), while retaining our industry-leading low fraud rates, effectively removing payments related bottlenecks to digital business growth.
In this role, you will work with a team of product managers and talented developers to launch new customer facing functionality to drive greater adoption and usage of Amazon's payment methods. This role will drive how customers interact with their payment methods, add payment methods to their Amazon account and select payment methods during the purchase experience. You will have experience with external partner negotiation, a strong understanding of the payment acquiring and processing, and define payment user experience. This role places a premium on someone who is effective at convincing senior executives to invest in a new product as well as leading developers to bring new products and technology to market. You should be comfortable working both at the strategic level and diving deep into details as needed to ensure high quality execution. You will show hustle, take ownership and be able to influence others to deliver on your goals. You will need to be able to collaborate with a diverse set of internal teams to achieve success in this role. You will chart the course of enhancing existing and creating new products and services that solve real problems for our customers and internal stakeholders (including legal, tax, accounting, treasury and IT security teams). You will ensure that your assigned products meet and exceed the highest processing standards including cost, revenue, security, technical precision and scalability. You will work across the company with existing platform systems and your clients in the Digital business to enable and develop payment products that grow with our customer and business needs. You will select, negotiate with and manage our external payment service suppliers (including acquirers, processors, card companies, banks, distribution channels and other financial services providers), balancing collaboration and competition with them. You must be able to drive multiple initiatives simultaneously. A track record of doing this within large organizations is a plus.
8+ years of relevant work in product management with 5+ years as product manager in payments related industry, owning and driving end-to-end product requirements across multiple technology teams. Able to prioritize complex deliverables, have highly technical discussions, and run large meetings with technical and business leaders.
· Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases and communicating results throughout the organization
· Understanding and practice with product management methodologies, especially those that support agile software development environments
· Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are a requirement
· A bachelor's degree; an M.B.A. is also desirable
· Master’s degree or advanced technical degree
· Experience in designing and launching payment systems for digital products.
· International payments experience
· Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and evaluate outcomes.
· Excels at delivering results in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
