The Operations Manager, who works under the direction of the Site Director, is responsible for planning and coordination of all plant operations involving production, safety, engineering, planning, continuous improvement and quality in manufacturing medical device products and maintaining the high standards set forth by Cardinal Health and the Federal Drug Administration.


Monitor operations for conformance to financial objectives; adjust accordingly when needed. Establish and maintain relationships with plant labor force to prevent or resolve problems and maintain a union-free workplace. Financially responsible for the favorable execution of $83.6m in COP. Managers 308 direct labor, 83 indirect labor and 16 salary in the production of 1.463 billion each of Finish Product annually. Responsible for the successful execution of $1.918m in identified cost savings. Provide clear expectations, training and support todepartment. Maintain a high level accountability to self and department to achieve ontimeon budget, and high quality work. Partner with Engineering to ensure manufacturing efficiency and cost reduction through optimum utilization of resources and ongoing evaluation and improvement of methods and systems. Direct work priorities and timelines and allocate resources to assure overall goals and timelines are met. Develop direct reports, coach, mentor, and handle performance reviews. Ensure compliance with all Cardinal Health and Federal safety requirements for the production area and personnel. Partner with quality leadership to ensure good quality and cGMP practices and their implementation in manufacturing. Ensure that the manufacturing organization fulfills cGMP and procedural requirements. Prepare and review department budgets and lead cost and efficiency improvement efforts with production as well as across the site as appropriate. Drive Continuous Improvement philosophy and practices including but not limited to COS (Cell Operating System), Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, TPM, SMED, 6S, and OEE throughout the factory. Keep abreast of industry best practices and market changes. Drive manufacturing strategy and ensure it is aligned with overall plant strategy. Partner withother plant leaders and collaborate to find the best possible solution and best practices. Lead, coach and train employees toward team concepts and foster environment for empowered, high-performance department. Identify and implement career development plans for staff. Review and oversee department expansion and capacity and fill in as plant manager as needed. Immediately report hazardous conditions or environmental risks to your supervisor in order for the supervisor to ensure appropriate corrective action is implemented

Immediately report any job-related injury or illness to your supervisor, plant nurse, EHS department, HR or any member of management.



Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Engineering or a related field with emphasis in management.


8+ years of experience in Manufacturing or related field; preferably in a GMP medical manufacturing environment

Management experience (Production, Engineering, Quality, etc.)

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

Master’s degree preferred
