The Material Program Manager (MPM) will support the Evolved SeaSparrow Missile (ESSM) Program by developing and participating in program and enterprise level supply chain strategies and plans, and ensure the placement and receipt of material requirements to those strategies and plans are in support of program requirements. This individual is the liaison between the program office, engineering, operations and the Supply Chain organization in ensuring that the factory requirements are being met and Program/Product Line business objectives are achieved

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management and the external customer. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing material strategies
  • Preparing and executing Material Program Plans (MPPs)
  • Working closely with production control and procurement to ensure purchase requisitions and POs support factory demand
  • Identifying and mitigating program risks as they pertain to material requirements
  • Help manage material financials, including sales, cash flow and EACs
  • Support Product Line Reviews, Supplier Management Reviews and Program Business Reviews
  • Participate in R6ä projects (both Supply Chain and program)
  • Resolving Supply Chain issues for the program
  • Some travel for program reviews and visiting suppliers is required, including international travel

Required Skills, Experience & Education:

  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience with a strong knowledge of supply chain, material procurement, MRP, production control, material receiving, material estimating, and finance
  • Strong Export/Import and ITAR compliance knowledge
  • A good working knowledge of program contracts and proposals
  • Experience converting customer requirements and terms & conditions into procurement requirements for suppliers
  • Previous leadership experience
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar
  • U.S. Citizenship

Desired Skills, Experience & Education:

  • The ability to work in an IPT environment
  • Experience operating in the International environment, ITAR and EX/IM (Export/Import) requirements, processes and skills that supportinternational business.
  • Knowledge and application of PRISM (SAP)
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to various tasks
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good presentation skills
  • MPM Level 4 certification
  • M.S. or M.B.A
