As the Innovation Engineering Field Manager, you'll be on the forefront of developing and integrating innovative manufacturing technologies to create new apparel products for Nike. In this role, you will be leading a team of experienced field engineers to review our current manufacturing process and develop technology solutions that create innovative product, drive speed to market, elevate factory capabilities, improve costs and reduce labor. In this role it is expected that you will be able to manage reports located in multiple countries and ensure they stay connected to the core business strategy. Key relationships outside of the Apparel Innovation Engineering Team include NXT Teams, Global Sourcing & Manufacturing Teams and Apparel Product Creation Teams. This role reports directly to the Innovation Engineering Director and is located at Nike WHQ.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or similar engineering discipline from an accredited university
• 5 years relevant industry experience related to industrial engineering roles & management (mechanical, industrial, process engineering)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including presenting technical information
• Has the ability to independently manage projects and communicate progress and priorities to management and internal customers
• Experience creating manufacturing standards for work desired
• Experience coaching multiple stakeholders in the development of industrial engineering data and process improvements desired
• Previous experience working in a company with a global manufacturing base
• Demonstrated analytical skill, ability to build partnerships and drive manufacturing solutions
• Experience in automation control, machinery investigation/selection and deployment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, excel, powerpoint) required
• Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time
