Job Description

This leadership role will drive and oversee the development and implementation of Human Resources policies and programs at our largest facility (2000 employees), including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, succession planning, wage and salary administration, employee training and development, and regulatory compliance.  In doing so, the Manager, Human Resources will attract, develop, retain, and grow a talented workforce to drive business performance and create a rewarding work environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the Talent Acquisition process for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, and works with Corporate resources to ensure that a pipeline of viable candidates is maintained. 

  • Develops and administers new employee on-boarding and orientation to introduce our talent to our plant and company history and culture; core values; and organizational design.

  • Works closely with plant management on workforce planning and development, career pathing and succession planning, and developing human resources plans and procedures that support the strategic and business goals of Middletown Works.

  • Manages and develops a team of Human Resources representatives to deliver a positive candidateexperience and support for current employees.

  • Implements and annually updates the plant’s compensation program, revises job descriptions as necessary, conducts annual salary surveys and salary budget, analyzes compensation, monitors performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.

  • Supports our implementation of a new Human Capital Management (HCM) system effective January 2018.
  •  Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • 10-15years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.   

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field is required.  

  • Experience with Workday or comparable HCM system; proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 

  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail. 

  • The candidate must have a desire to help build and develop high-performing teams; be an effective and observant coach to the management team; be a strong project manager; and possess solid and confident oral and written communication skills.
