Together, we can help people build stronger communities — we're just getting started.Facebook is seeking to fill the position of Director, Revenue Accounting. The successful candidate will have a proven record of building and leading a revenue team. The Director will manage a high performing team supporting Facebook’s advertising business, partnering closely with a number of cross-functional and cross-finance stakeholders. This leadership position will not only successfully drive cross-finance collaboration, in order tosupport both finance as well as business-led initiatives, but also implement and continually look to improve existing processes. Success in this role involves an ability to think critically, plan and execute effectively while collaborating across multiple teams and office locations. The successful candidate will have had experience driving high exposure projects, be energetic, highly driven and solution focused. They need to be hands-on as well as strategic, able to manage the day-to-day operations with an eye towards building thecontent accounting team. This full-time position is located in our Menlo Park headquarters. The role will report to the Facebook Controller.RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage revenue close process, including review of journal entries and reconciliations
  • Develop initiatives which will automate revenue accounting processes across the company, and which foster trust and accountability in all our financial reporting and compliance withlegal, tax, audit, regulatory, Sarbanes-Oxley and jurisdictional requirements
  • Develop, manage and coach a team of accountants, supporting the Ads business
  • Manage development of accounting policies and operations for revenue, including new product introduction
  • Evaluate accounting requirements for new products and ensure we can operationally support, or help build new processes, as needed
  • Partner closely with Engineering and other cross-functional teams during new product introduction
  • Interpret contractual language and identify proper application of accounting policies
  • Assist with the preparation of quarterly reporting packages to management
  • Drive process improvement throughout the revenue accounting team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • 12+ years of working experience in multi-national, public companies
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience implementing and improving business process and systems
