Director of Analytics

Location: Rochester, NY or open with travel

Reports To: EVP, Research and Development

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of Calero customers and business operations - who they are, what problems and needs they have, how they are currently behaving, which analytics solutions they would adopt, and how they would select, procure, and use them
  • Create and maintain Calero’s analytics product strategy, roadmaps, and action plans
  • Create visualization, reporting, and algorithmic solutions that provide valuable insights from communications and cloud billing and usage data, enterprise data, and third-party data
  • Coordinate and collaborate with application product managers
  • Refine and improve the analytics development process, ensuring predictable delivery of committed roadmap items with high levels of quality and efficiency
  • Lead the analytics development team, ensuring that development is coordinated with other product and operational technology development activities
  • Provide technology direction and recommendations, followed by management of supplier relationships and the technology lifecycle
  • Develop operationally robust approaches, processes, and technology solutions to extract, persist, and maintain data from customer and internal systems
  • Establish and maintain effective data governance concepts, frameworks, and processes to ensure the integrity, privacy, confidentiality, and security of information through the insights delivery value stream

Experience and Skills:

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in analytics, ideally in telecommunications and IT service management
  • Experience in a software product management role
  • Experience with multiple analytics platforms for data management, ETL, and visualization
  • Exceptional analytical abilities
  • Familiarity and experience with machine learning and predictive analytics concepts and methods
  • Knowledge and experience with Lean Startup, Customer Development, and Lean Management
  • Leadership experience as a senior manager or director
  • University degree in engineering or quantitative field
